Honestly this wee pig and pinch pot is a joy. It brightens the kitchen. I absolutely love it - I bought two as gifts. It's worth mentioning on purchase to ask for a pinch pot and pig that fit together well if that's your intention, because these are genuinely hand made and by the nature of clay it shrinks when fired, and I've noticed more scathing reviews on that where they don't fit together snugly and it's so easy missed on packing - if that happens you, all you need to do is contact the helpful admin in customer service and it's rectified within a day. I wouldn't have even mentioned that as it's such a non issue but I saw other reviews and felt it necessary to share my experience in fixing that issue was simple, timely and straightforward. It proves they're handmade and they're beautifully designed and functional.
The pinch pot keeps the salt well sealed - I tied a little rice filled teabag to the handle and dangle it just inside in case of moisture as the kitchen breeds moisture, but I don't think that's necessary. Our salt shaker always had a few grains of rice in them growing up and old habits die hard.
