Achill Island Sea Salt is a pure, natural salt with a soft, flaky texture. The high mineral content of the sea salt gives it a sweet salty taste that perfectly enhances any dish.
Our natural flakes are gently hot smoked over beech and oak wood chips in North Mayo. It’s subtle smoky aroma and flavour works great over meat, fish and our favourite, eggs.
Achill Island Seaweed Salt is a mix of our pure white natural sea salt flakes (75%) and Atlantic Wakame (Alaria esculenta) (25%) which is hand harvested by the Connemara Seaweed Company. This unique fusion of sea salt and seaweed will give an exceptional umami flavour to any dish. Great over eggs or served with baked fish.
