Achill Island Sea Salt Spicy Marg

Spicy Margaritas are having their moment and we are right behind it! We like to switch between our natural sea salt flakes and our smoked sea salt when making this drink so try with whatever your favourite is! 

Ingredients (Makes 1)

  • 45ml tequila,
  • 25ml lime,
  • 20ml cointreau,
  • 5ml agave syrup
  • Rind of one lime
  • Half a fresh chili 
  • Achill Island Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes


  1. Mix the lime rind, chili flakes and Achill Island Sea Salt together and pour onto a plate. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of a cocktail glass then dip the rim into plate with the chili lime salt mix.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, a pinch of Achill Island Sea Salt, and agave to the shaker.
  3. Put the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds, chilling the mixture and mixing the flavours.
  4. Carefully strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  5. Add a slice of lime to the rim of the glass to garnish. You can add the chilli into the glass too if you want it extra spicy!
