Smokey Guacamole with Achill Island Smoked Sea Salt

Elevate your guacamole game with a smoky twist using Achill Island Smoked Sea Salt. 

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados (approximately 600 grams)
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes deseeded and diced
  • 1 small bunch of fresh corriander, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Generous pinch of Achill Island Smoked Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped, for extra heat

Instructions:

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocados to your desired consistency—smooth or chunky.

  2.  Add the finely chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and lime juice to the bowl with the mashed avocados. Mix well to combine.

  3. Sprinkle in the Achill Island Smoked Sea Salt, ground cumin, smoked paprika, and freshly ground black pepper. If using, add the finely chopped jalapeño for an extra kick. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.Transfer the smokey guacamole to a serving bowl. Garnish with a sprinkle of additional chopped cilantro and a pinch of Achill Island Smoked Sea Salt.

  4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or use as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
