Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bark

Ingredients:

  • 225 grams dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), chopped
  • Achill Island Sea Salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts (such as almonds or pistachios), dried fruit (such as cranberries or apricots), shredded coconut, or seeds (such as pumpkin or sunflower seeds) or Achill Island Sea Salted Caramel Fudge. 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the chopped dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Alternatively melt in a heat proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.  and in 3/4 of your chosen ingredients, leaving the remainder for the top.

  3. Pour and Spread: Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer using a spatula. 

  4. Add Sea Salt and  remaining Toppings: Sprinkle the sea salt evenly over the melted chocolate. Add any optional toppings you like, distributing them evenly across the surface.

  5. Set Chocolate: place the tray in the fridge to allow it to set. 

  6. Break into Pieces: Once the chocolate is completely set, break it into pieces of your desired size.

  7. Store and Enjoy: Store the sea salt dark chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
