If you keep your sea salt in a salt pig or container by your cooker, or if you are opening and closing the jar quite often it can become a little damp. This is completely natural, as salt, by its nature will absorb moisture. It is still perfectly fine to use, but here's how we dry out Achill Island Sea Salt in our kitchen without impacting the flavour or texture of the flakes.
Simply pop the sea salt lined tray in the oven at a low temperature from 50-70c for 10 mins and it should be completely dried out and good to use over your favourite dishes.
I have been using achill island seasalt in my cooking for years now. The pouches are a game changer. They allow me store larger quantities and they are better value. Very happy customer here!!
